Long Curved Shears / Grooming Shears
For many Groomers and Stylist the one type of shear that their sharpeners have the most troubles getting "just right" is the Long Curved Shears. ( both Convex Styled and Bevel Styled long shears)
The reason these types of shears are more of a challenge is because alot of sharpeners want to use a Flat Hone Style sharpener (this is Problematic when the shears are Long, because Flat Hones have their limitations)
Other Sharpeners use a Vertical Style Sharpening Hone which puts a hollow ground on the shear (because they are sharpening on the outside of a grinding wheel) the hollow ground edge is put on the shear naturally. However, a Curved Convex Shear needs to stay as a convex shear because that is what the manufacture designed it for.
The Ez-Vex Sharpening System puts a TRUE Convex edge on the shears from inside the wheel and it also has the ability to put a TRUE Bevel edge on the shear from the flat side of the wheel. This is a new way to sharpen shears of all kinds. But, especially it can do those extreme long shears ( both convex and bevel ) easily and accurately.
Groomers and Stylist also should remember why they choose to pay for those beautiful Titanium shears, they love the colors! The Ez-Vex removes very little metal leaving the color coating without damage !
They Ez-Vex System is for those sharpeners who believe in the ("Do No Harm") logic when it comes to sharpening shears for Groomers and Stylists.
We encourage all Groomers and Stylist to ask their sharpeners if they are using the Ez-Vex system on their Long Curved and Convex Shears. Our system to sharpening Curved Shears is Easy and Accurate. Watch our youtube video and see for yourself
